5K Girls Fundraising Walk

News Item added:21-03-2010

As training is commencing for the various underage girls teams it is important that we highlight the fact that we need to fund raise to help with the running of the club. We want in these times for the fund raising to be as little of a burden on parents as possible. To this end we have come up with the idea to have a sponsored 5K walk starting at the Crossmolina GAA grounds and proceeding up the convent road. The walk will be held on Sunday the 21/03/10 with registration in the club rooms at 12.30 and walk commencing at 1.00pm. The walk will take approx 30 to 45 minutes to complete. All girls participating at the various age groups will be given a 10 line sponsorship card when they return to training. They will be asked to get as much sponsorship as possible over the next couple of weeks and return the cards by the 19/03/10 or on the day of the walk.

This is a healthy and fun way of fund raising for the club. It is also inclusive with the girls helping to fund raise for their club. We would also like to invite parents to come along on the day and for a small registration of fee €5.00 walk with their children and enjoy the fresh air on a Sunday afternoon. We would like to thank parents and children for their continued support of our club and hope to see you all on Sunday 21st March.
