There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 23rd April. The numbers were  10 – 15 – 30 – 31 two punters matched three numbers Sheila Barrett Mullenmore St Crossmolina and B.  McDermott Keenagh each win €75. The Draw took place in Christy’s. This week’s jackpot is €16,100. Many thanks for all your support.

Crossmolina played with the aid of a slight breeze in this Divison 1 league tie in Mayo Abbey  Sean Kelly opened the scoring with a point which Clifford Connolly cancelled out after five minutes, then the Deel-Siders raced into a four points lead thanks to accuracy of Sean Kelly, after 15 minutes the south Mayo side came much more into the game and Darren Coen nailing two, and one each from  Dermot Costello and Clifford Connolly to tie the score in the 25th minute. Kevin Costello and Cathal Carolan exchanged points and so did Clifford Connolly and Kevin Mulhern from a 45 to leave the half time score seven points each.
Hollymount/Carramore dominated for long spells of the second half Darren Coen pointed straight from the start Padraig Ferrick and Conor Keane both introduced as subs pointed it took the visitors 17 minutes to grab their opening point of the half from Brian Benson. Three further points from Clifford Connolly and one from Conor Keane with Sean Kelly getting Crossmolina second point of the half to leave the home side deserving winners after entertaining contest played on a very good surface.

Crossmolina and Knockmore finished all square after a entertaining County League tie at Tiernans Park on Tuesday of last week. Crossmolina lead at the break 2 – 4 to 0 – 4, with Shaun Caden getting the two goals. Liam Murphy grabbed a solo goal in the fifth minute. Sub Matthew Forde scored two goals in the 45th and 26th minutes. Tommy Walsh and Jordan Flynn pointed and Shaun Caden found the net for the third time to give the Deel-Siders a two points lead Gary Lynn came off the bench to point a 13m free to extend that lead to three, but in one last attack Noel Orme was upended in the large square and he scored from the penalty to tie the score at 3 -  8 to 4 – 5 after fast open game played in good conditions after the harsh weather we have had all winter

Crossmolina were knocked out of the North Mayo Junior Championship by neighbours Ardagh by three points 2 – 11 to 1 – 11 in Ardagh. The sides were level coming to the half time but a Ardagh goal saw them lead 1 – 7 to 1 – 4  at the break. The home side dominated the third quarter and Crossmolina clawed their way back in the closing stages but it was too little to late and Ardagh march on to the next round

At the executive meeting of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers Club on Tuesday night 12th April Congratulation was extended to Michael Moyles Captain and Michael Gallagher Manager and all associated with Mayo Teachers on winning the All-Ireland Inter-Firms Junior title last weekend Also to Crossmolina Tigers U14 Basketball team on their wonder full performance in the All-Ireland final in Antrim Form last week end.

McHale Rovers Ladies LFGA are hosting the 1st Annual Melissa Patterson tournament in Bofeenaun on Sunday 1st of May  the match will be the Junior Ladies V Castlebar Mitchells @ 15.00pm. Then It is followed by an exhibition of football by the U12s McHale Roves Girls and this is followed by the Padraic Garrett cup. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
