There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 28th May. The numbers were 4 – 14 – 24 – 27 five punters matched three numbers Rita McDonnell Corvoderra Dooleeg,  Kevin Murphy (Jnr) Derryhillagh Castlehill, Noel McHale C/o KPC Killala, Noreen Reilly 80 St Mary’s Park Crossmolina, Maureen Gallagher Erris Rd Crossmolina each win €30. Crossmolina were always in control of this Sweeney cup tie at Tiernans Park on Saturday evening against a under strength Kiltane side after leading  by 0 – 12 to 0 – 1 with a string of points from Sean Kelly Thomas McNulty Jordan Flynn Mickie Loftus Peadar Gardiner Thomas Cafferty with Martin Doherty getting his sides only score a point. Kiltane came more into the game after the break with two goals from Pat Deane and Tommy Conroy penalty was brilliantly saves by Patrick Loftus. Fionan Duffy came of the bench late on to grab a goal and a point to leave the home side comfortably ahead in the end

Crossmolina and Bonniconlon served up a exciting contest in the county U14 League Division 3 at Tiernans Park on Thursday of last week before the home side emerged winner in a high scoring game 7 – 10 to 5 – 9

Mayo GAA Senior Championship - Group 3
Sat, 14 May, Venue: Pairc Josie Munnelly, (Round 1), Castlebar Mitchels Football 3-13 Crossmolina Deel Rovers 0-9
Danny Kirby who had proven in the past a goal getter against the Deel-Siders was again in the same mood in this opening round of the Mayo Senior Championship with two goals in the opening half that saw the all-Ireland finalists lead at the break by 2 – 7 to 0 – 6.  The Crossmolina points coming from Sean Kelly, Fionan Duffy and Thomas Cafferty.
After the break Paul Duffy and Kevin Mulhern were denied goals when Rory Byrne made two fine saves. Kirby finished off his scoring with a third goal five minutes from the end to leave Mitchels comfortably ahead in the end,

Mayo Win in London
Congratulation to our Deel - Rovers club members on the Mayo team that defeated  London in the Connacht Championship on Sunday last both came off the bench Conor Loftus who scored 1 – 2  Cathal Carolan put in a useful shift also and team manager Stephen Rochford on his first Championship game in charge of the team

GAA News
At the Crossmolina GAA Club executive meeting on Tuesday 10th May Congratulation were extended to Conor Loftus, Fionnan Duffy players Joe Keane Selector David Walsh Masseur with Mayo All-Ireland champions  U21team on their wonderful achievement in winning the fifth title in this grade,  to Crossmolina National School on winning the Cumann Na mbunscol Mini Sevens  in Castlebar to their coaches Michael Murphy, Brendan McAndrew Jess Gough and school teachers, also commiseration to Rachel Kearns who played a stormer but ended up on the loosing Mayo Senior Lady’s team defeated by a goal by Cork in Parnell Park  

Astro Turf Pitch
The new Astro turf facility is being used by a few of the Club teams on a trial basis before its official opening. Full details of official opening will be advertised soon.

Active Age Over 55’s
Walking and aerobics for both men and women has resumed on Tuesday’s at 12 noon after the Christmas break in the Crossmolina GAA centre. New members welcome

McHale/Rover Ladys Football
McHale Rovers Ladies Football (which is amalgamation of Ardagh Crossmolina Lahardane Ladies) have starting training for the U8 and U10s Girls  on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm on the Astroturf. Please bring runners or multicogs, no blades allowed on Astroturf. All new members are welcome. Any queries contact Aiden on 0876095311.
