There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night the 6th of August. The numbers were 7 – 13 – 17 - 18, two punters matched three numbers, Gerard Jordan, Enniscoe and Vincent O’Boyle, Enniscoe and each win €75.  This week’s jackpot is €3,750. Crossmolina had much the better of the opening half with James Gill, Keelan Hegarty, Adam Langan, Conor Caden, Lorcan Loftus and Patrick McAndrew scoring a string of points, with Keelan Hegarty grabbing a goal after 11 minutes. Points each from  Darragh McDonnell, Darragh Walsh, John McHale and Shane Finnerty two points Ardmoy/McHales to leave the Half time score 1 – 9 to 0 – 5.
Darragh Walsh and Shane Finnerty each pointed early in the second half, and a goal and a point from Martin Carr brought the visitors back in contention. Keelan Hegarty replied with three points but a couple of points from Darragh McDonnell and a goal from Sean Finian saw Ardmoy/ McHale take a two points lead with less than ten minutes remaining. Crossmolinas reply was swift Anthony Leonard who came on as a sub fisted the ball to the net to restore Crossmolina lead. Keelan Hegarty pointed three frees. Darragh McDonnell tacked on two points and Alan Gallagher one before for ArdMoy, before  Keelan Hegarty added a couple of points and  Lorcan Loftus kicked a point from play to leave the final score 2 – 17 to 2 – 13 after a very exciting second half.

Crossmolina U16 Team continued their good form of late with a comfortable away win over Islandeady in terrible conditions with rain throughout. In a keenly contested opening half the visitors lead at the break by three points 0 – 7 to 0 – 3 with points from Lorcan Loftus, three, Keelan Hegarty two, and one each from Robert Murphy and Edward Gough. Islandeady scores came from Alan Kelly, two points, one each from David Ferdia Moran and Oisin Coen.
Two goals in the space of a couple of minutes from Keelan Hegarty after the break was the perfect start playing into the elements. Further points from Keelan Hegarty and Lorcan Loftus extended the lead. Islandeadys only reply was a point from Oisin Coen.  John Tolan made a couple of good saves one in particular from point blank range, the Crossmolina defence defended well and  the Deel-siders  ran out winners by  2 – 12 to 0 – 5

Naomh Padraig  7-13 V 5-08 Crossmolina Deel Rovers 19:00, Ref: Ray Kelly
Naomh Padraig were much the better team and lead from first whistle to last in this North Mayo U14 B final played in terrible conditions  in Moygownagh with rain and wind throughout. In Fairness to Crossmolina boys they played their hearts out until the final whistle but  Naomh Padraig were much stronger all over the park and ran out winners by 7 – 13 to 5 – 8

McHale/ Rovers Ladys U16 team had a hard earned 3 – 6 to 1 – 5 win over Westport at Tiernans Park on  Monday last goals from Caoimhe Loftus and Emily Murray saw them lead at the break 2 – 2 to a goal from Eva McCormack for Westport  Caoimhe Walsh extended that lead in the 45th Minuet with a stunning goal  Dara Moore with two points and one each from Annie Gough and Joann O’Malley kept the hosts in a comfortable lead stout defending prevented Westport from getting a much needed goal Emma Murphy Molly Ryder Ashling Sammon and Jenny Coughlan raised white flags for the west Mayo Lady’s
