There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto jackpot on Saturday night 22nd October. The numbers drawn were 6 – 24 – 25 – 29 no punter match three numbers either and six tickets were drawn. Darren Jordan, Enniscoe Castlehill, Enda Lavelle Church View Crossmolina, Michelle Walsh Ballina Rd Crossmolina, Mary Mangan Cabra Castlehill, Patrick Loftus Lake Rd Crossmolina, John and Mary Moran Lecarrow Crossmolina and they share the €150 prize. The draw took place in O’Malleys Bar and Grill. This week’s jackpot is €5,400. Many thanks for all your support

Charlestown emerged three points winners from this County Senior league tie in Tiernans Park. Points from Sean Lenehan and Gareth O’Donnell set the score board ticking over. After ten minutes Stephen O’Malley pointed and  Fionan Duffy and Gabriel Walsh added points and pushed the hosts into the lead. Gerard McLoughlin and Alan Woods restored their sides advantage with points each in a dominant spell at the end of the half. Peadar Gardiner  and Kevin Mulhern restored Crossmolina’s one point advantage 0 – 5 to 0 – 4 approaching the half time. The home side were dealt a sever blow when reduced to fourteen men when Henry McLoughlin was red carded for a high challenge after thirty eight minutes, John Garrett and Alan Woods exchanges points before a string of points Charletown’s Thomas Holton David McLoughlin Kiefer Curry Gerard McLoughlin and a brace from David Caffrey Crossmolina replied through Thomas McNulty and Cathal Carolan to leave the final score 0 – 11 to 0 – 8

This game ended in a welter of excitement in Tiernans Park with Crossmolina staring defeat five points down with only seven minuets left to play a Dean Loftus goal and two points from Fionan Duffy tied the score. This was certainly a game of two halves, in the opening 30 minutes Crossmolina dominated play with a freshening breeze, Fionan Duffy with seven points, Tommy Walsh rowed in with a goal and three points, Jordan Flynn and Nigal Caden also added points to leave the half time score 1 – 12 to 1 – 6.
Keelan Horkan scored 1 – 2 of his sides total to keep in touch. The second half was only minutes old when Tommy Walsh was tumbled in the square and Fionan Duffy converted the penalty. Soon afterwards added point for the next quarter Charlestown dominated with Keelan Horkan, Tomas Drudy and Matthew Lenehan tied the scores, and Aaron Parsons drilled home his sides third goal and Tomas Drudy added points to give the East Mayo men a five point lead until that late burst of scoring from The Deel-Siders to leave the final score 3 – 15 each in a free flowing game played ideal playing  conditions.

Congratulations to Mchale Rovers U16 Girls team on winning their County Final on Saturday 15/10/2016. Some photos are included in todays email, with reports to follow.

Astro Turf News;
The Astro turf is officially open for business and several groups are using it on a weekly basis. The Kevin Loftus Over 30s league started two weeks ago and has involved approximately 80 men from the local area. Mothers & Others are using it on Thursday evenings and the National Schools boys and Girls Cumann na Mbunscoil teams train on it each week. Add to this the senior football team and the new facility is getting great use. Any group interested in booking the facility should contact Michael at 0872046722.
Deelrovers proud of lads achievements;
Everyone involved with the Crossmolina Deelrovers GAA Club would like to thank Stephen Rochford, Cathal Carolan, Conor Loftus, Liam Moffatt, Eoin Rochford and the entire Mayo GAA setup on providing us with an enthralling year, full of great memories and ultimately heartache. All-Ireland Final Replay Tickets Draw
The winner of the two all-Ireland final replay tickets in Crossmolina Bord Na Nog fund raising draw was Caroline Caden, Deerpek who purchased her line in O’Malleys Bar & Grill. Thank you to everyone who supported the draw.

Crossmolina Tigers Girls Basketball underage will resume tonightMonday 5th September for under 10's from second class up.
Thursday for under 12's  5 to 6, under 14's 6 to 7. and under 16's 7 to 8 o'clock
