U16 In To County Final

Crossmolina took their scoring chances in the opening half with quick early ball to their inside forwards with string of points from Gary Hopkins Dean Loftus Jordan Flynn Sean Caden and Gary Hopkins grabbed the vital goal in the 28th minuet and Fergal Gill tacked on a great long ranged point. Swinford's first score came in the 22nd minuet from  James Devaney  and the same player pointed again just before the half time break to leave Crossmolina leading by six points 1 - 5 to 0 - 2. The second half was only started when Shane Julian had the Ball in the net and minuets later Shane gabbed his second goal to tie the score Craig Hefferon and James Devaney swopped points. Before the visitors took control for the next ten minuets  with further points from James Devaney Shane Julian and Jonathan Burke and a goal from James Devaney to put his side seven points up eighteen  in to the half when the Deel boys suddenly came to life when Jordan Flynn burst through the Swinford defence to score a stunning goal not to out done Nigal Caden repeated the dose two minuets later and Gary Hopkins kicked the equalizing point from a free after Sean Caden picked up the kick out and passed to Jordan Flynn who was fouled. The East Mayo boys were still reeling from those two body blows when Crossmolia's captain Nigal Caden made a fine catch in Midfield and drove past a coupe of would be defenders before setting up Carig Hefferon for the vital goal in the 25th minuet Dean Loftus added a point. Swinford's James Devaney cut through the Crossmolina defence and his shot for goal sailed over bar final whistle sounded much to the delight of the Deel-Siders who had booked the place in the final by three points 4 - 9 to 3 - 9
