There was no winner of the Crossmolina GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday night 26th July. The numbers were 2,10,22 & 31. There were five match 3 tickets. Enda & Jacinta Lavelle, Noel & Anne Hegarty, Conor O Mara and Annemarie Loftus had two tickets with 3 numbers on each. The draw took place in Sticks’ Bar. This weeks jackpot is €2,300. Crossmolina dominated the first half of this County Senior league at Fr O’Hara Park on Saturday evening last with a string of points in the opening fifteen minutes, two from Ciaran McDonald, one from a free and one each from  Derek Hegarty and Brian Benson, a free. John Garrett from play and Ciaran McDonald from a 48m free.  Charlestown’s  first point came after 15 minutes from Niall Murphy which was quickly cancelled out by a Brian Benson point from play after good approach work by Ciaran McDonald, who also pointed a free in the 22nd minute. Charlestown finished the half with two points from Colm Maye a free and Sean Leneghan a fisted effort to leave the half time score 0 – 8 to 0 – 3.
Charlestown  had two points in the opening five minutes of the second half from Niall Murphy. Brian Benson replied with a point from play. Aidan Higgins drove over a point from 20m, knifing his way past a couple of defenders.  A Pat Leneghan shot for goal was brilliantly deflected over the bar by Jonathan O’Boyle.  Colm Maye  pointed a free in the 45th minute, the same player had the sides level four minutes later with a well taken goal. Minutes later Enda Casey gave his side the lead. The crucial score came in the 55m when Shane Keane having made a save came out to clear and was dispossessed by Pat Lenaghan who drove the ball into the net. Garath O’Donnell added a point and Ciaran McDonald  replied with two further points one from a free to leave the East  Mayo deserving winners by four points after a very sporting game of open football.

A game that produced twelve goals and twenty three points gave great entertainment in this North Mayo U14 B Chamionship game played in Fr Michael Gilroy Park Mogownagh on Thursday 24/7/14. The home side Ardmoy went on a goal rush in the first half scoring four but were still a point down at the break 1 – 11 to 4 – 1, the Crossmolina goal came from Keelan Hegarty and points from Daniel Howely (four) Lorcan Loftus (two) and points each from Cian O’Boyle, Conor Caden, Anthony Leonard, John Sheehan and Colm Hegarty.
Five goals after the break from Keelan Hegarty, Anthony Leonard, Colm Hegarty, Lorcan Loftus and sub Edward Gough kept the winners with a safe lead despite Ardmoy bagging two goals from Martin Carr. The final score 6 – 17 to 6 – 6

McHale Rovers progressed to the next round of the U14 B championship with a comfortable win over a depleted Kilmoremoy B on Wed evening last. Caoimhe Walsh opened the scoring with a goal and this was quickly followed up with another goal from Niamh Maughen, further first half scores from Emily Murray ( 1-01 ) and points from Megan Joyce, Linda Kelly and Lisa Lavelle left the halftime scoreboard 3-04 to 0-00. The second half saw the introduction of all the substitutes and scores from Grace Timlin, Caoimhe Walsh and Aoife Deane. Captain on the night Shauna McLoughlin lead by example from half back and was well assisted by Meadbh Walsh. There were many valiant performances on the Kilmormoy team especially from Aoife Doherty, Shannon Conlon-Molloy and Emma Walsh.

Funding announced for Crossmolina Deelrovers Minister Michael Ring announced that Crossmolina Deelrovers GAA Club would receive €60,000 from the Sports Capital Development Fund, towards the development of the 60m x 40m All Weather playing facility at St Tiernans Park Crossmolina. This funding is a huge bonus for the future of our club
