Crossmolina Deel Rovers              1-10
Crossmolina raced into a three points lead in the opening 9 minutes with points from Brian Benson (free), Ciaran McDonald (free), and Brian Benson again from play. It took Ballina all of 10 minutes to open their account with a point from Brendan Murray. Evan Regan grabbed one from play three minutes later. Deelrovers Kevin Mulhern then kicked a great point from 30m. Stephenites Evan Regan ghosted inside the Deel-Siders cover to drill the ball past Colm Reilly to give his side a single point advantage. Stephen Mullen quickly added another for Ballina. Crossmolina who played against the breeze created the greater scoring chances but poor shot selection and good defending denied them at least two good goal scoring chances. It was Peadar Gardiner who took the fight to the Stephenites with two points late in the half to tie the score 0 – 6 to 1 – 3.
Early in the second half Brian Benson and Keith Tighe exchanged points. There was a barren spell of twelve minutes until Ryan Keane pointed for Ballina. Fionan Fuffy came off the bench to point a free in the 22nd minute. Kevin Mulhern scored the vital goal in the 24th minute. Keith Hopkins another sub fisted over another point for the Deel siders. Ballina had a couple of bad wides before Evan Regan kicked a great point from play after missing a free from 42 m, the same player pointed another free and Peadar Gardiner had the final say when raced through to fist over his third point of the afternoon.

Belmullet                                                             2-08
Crossmolina raced in to a three points lead in the opening six minutes with points from Fionan Duffy two from play and one free, before Belmullets Niall Cawley opened his sides account in the 15th minute. From the kick out the Bellmullet went straight down the field and Michael Dempsey planted the ball in the net to put side into a two points lead. Fionan Duffy and Gary Hopkins tacked on points to level the score, then Dean Loftus added a point before Fionan Duffy grabbed a vital goal  in the 17th minute. Crossmolina spurned some chances for goals before a string of points from Tommy Walsh, Fionan Duffy and Ronan Callaghan. Belmullets Niall Cawley pointed from a free and from play. Mayo minor Eoin O’Donoghue also pointed a free from 43m and Padraig Ginty pointed from play. Two more from the boot of Fionan Duffy left the Half time score 1 – 10 to 1 – 5.
Tommy Walsh kicked a point from the restart.  Dylan McAndrew gave Belmullet a life line with a goal in the 35th minute. Jonathan Keane  then rowed in with a point, but that was as good as it got for the visitors. Having picked up the ball on the halfway line, Keith Hopkins ran straight through the Belmullet defence and cracked home his sides second goal in the 44th minute. Fionan Duffy and Dean Loftus added points, Jordan Flynn cracked an unstoppable shot past Scott Kilker in the 55th minute. Niall Cawley and Eoin O’Donoghue raised white flags for the Erris boys. Fionan Duffy with one point and Ronan Callaghan two from play gave Crossmolina a comfortable 3 – 17 to 2 – 8  win which was rather impressible from a dedicated panel .
