Lotto

There was no winner of the Crossmolina GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday night 16th of  May. The numbers were 3, 6, 15, 28. Two matched 3 numbers Sarah, Daniel & James Hughes and Ciaran O’Boyle and each wins €75. The draw took place in Christys Bar. This weeks jackpot is €8,750. Many thanks for all your support.

Crossmolina played out an exciting draw 1 – 13 each at a sunny Sean Duffy Park on Tuesday last. The visitors lead at the break by four points 1 – 5 to 0 – 5 with the goal coming from Colm Hegarty. Ardnaree had much the better of the second half and it took two late points from Colm Hegarty and Niall Maughan to force a draw

This was a exciting game of open football plenty of scores Thomas McNulty and Andrew Farrell exchanged points  in opening five minutes in this division 1D tie At St Tiernans park on Saturday evening of last week goals from Darragh Herbert and Andrew Farrell put the visitors in the driving seat Thomas McNulty and David Howley kept the score board ticking over with points Crossmolina got a lucky break when mix up in the Killala defence resulted in og and minuets later Nigal Caden scored the best score of the game after fine approach work from Gerard Haran and Joe Keane. David Lowther came forward to score from the penalty spot to leave the half time score 3 – 4 to 2 – 5 with Farrell Garvin and Maheady grabbing scores for the sea  siders with Jordan Flynn replying with two points and by the 20th minuet Killala lead by six points suddenly Crossmolina came to life with  subs Kieran Traynor and Shane McGinley pointing and Nigal Caden scoring 1 – 1 the goal from a penalty  scoring and with minuets to go John Garrett gave his side the lead Martin Maheady pointed a free to force a draw Crossmolina 3 – 11 Killala 4 – 8

After a terrible start to this U16 League tie in Ballyhanuis with a strong breeze and driving rain on Sunday morning last Ronan Lavelle kicked the first score a point for the visitors. Ballyhanuis took over with goals from Patrick Caulfield and Joseph Niallis and a string of points from Gary Higgins, Caulfied and Cormac Phillips. Crossmolina fought back with points from Niall Maughan, Darragh Gill and in a purple patch Niall Maughan grabbed two goals and Sean Canavan one to go in a point up 3 –
7 to 2 – 9 after playing against the breeze. Like the first half the home side Ballyhanuis took the game to the Deel-Siders and scored four goals with Darragh Gill grabbing 1 – 2 and Sean Canavan a point to leave the final score 6 – 10 to 4 – 10.

Winner Of Connaught Junior Championship.
Well done to Joe Keane of Abbeytoen on winning the 2015 Connaught Junior Championship with Mayo Juniors last weekend. Joe had a playing part in Mayos win over Galway in Carrick on Shannon last Sunday.

Work continuing on Astro turf playing facility;
Work has commenced on the construction of the Astro turf playing facility. The contractors are erecting the fencing and putting up lighting columns this week. You will see a great change in the coming weeks. Please obey all construction signs and safety notices during the construction phase.
