Therer was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club lotto jackpot on Saturday night 25thJuly, the numbers were 2, 5, 7 and 22. Eight punters matched three numbers Damien and Caroline Lavin Church View Crossmolina, Martin Gallagher Mullenmore Crossmolina, Patrick Moran Lecarrow Crossmolina, Emer Loftus Creevy Castlehill, Kit Mc Hale Laherdane, Damien and Caroline Lavin Church View Enda and Carmel Hiney Church St, Brendan Hughes Swindon UK they share the €150 prize. Crossmolina Junior team suffered a five points defeat away to Westport on Sunday week. Played in terrible conditions with heavy rain for most of the hour, the home side got a fortuitous goal midway through the half from a free by Declan Gallagher out on the side line which deceived the defenders sneaking in under the crossbar and from this point on Crossmolina struggled. Crossmolina points in the first half came from Thomas McNulty, Kieran Traynor and J.P.Mulhern. Dessie Keane and Pat Conway were the point scorers from Westport to leave the half time score 1 – 5 to 0 – 3.
Thomas McNulty tacked on three points and Sean Kelly. A Sean Kelly shot thundered off the under side of the crossbar with Liam Sammon Pat Conway Sean Brogan and Dessie Keane picking off points to leave Westport  winner by 1 – 9 to 0 – 7

Crossmolina advanced to the final of the County Summer League after a convincing  2 – 15 to 1 – 8 over a strong Aghamore side at St Tiernnas Park Last week. The visitors trailed by two points at the break 0 – 7 to 0 – 5 after the break Jordan Flynn set the trend for the rest of the half with a point Gary Hopkins drove home a goal Niall MaughanNigalCaden Dean Loftus and Sean Caden Goal gave the Crossmolina boys a solid lead Aghamore did fight back with three point and a goal in the last few minuets it was to little to late

Crossmolina continued their good form of late in the Mayo minor Summer League at Tiernans Park Against Kiltmagh on Wednesday evening last after a flying start with two goals in the opening seven minuets from Gary Hopkins and Dean Loftus Jordan Flynn and Tommy Walsh tacked on points with Patrick McDonnell kicking the Kiltmagh their two points of the half Crossmolina dominated the second half apart from the opening minuets when Martin Byrne grabbed a goal after four minuets and the home side  added another eight points from NigalCaden Shaun Caden and Dean Loftus  to leave the final score 2 – 10 to 1 – 2.

Crossmolina U16 team suffered a two point’s defeat in the County U16 Championship away to Ardmoy/McHales on Tuesday last .despite leading ay the break by 1 – 4 to 0 – 3. Two late goals from EoinPrichett sealed a deserved two points win 2 – 10 to 1 – 11 after a very entertaining game played in ideal conditions.

McHale/Rovers had a big win over Breaffy at St Tiernans Park on Monday evening last. In a high scoring game with seventeen goals score the host lead vat the break 7  - 3 to 4 – 2 after the break Mc/Hale/Rovers took over and further goals  from Emily Murray Caoimhe Walsh and three from Dara Moore to add to her Three in the first half to see the home side advance to the next round for a convincing 12 – 6 to 5 - 2

The contractors are erecting the fencing and putting up lighting columns this week. You will see a great change in the coming weeks.
